GREENLand Final International Conference Overview

On November 25, 2025, Horizon Europe Project GREENLand – TWINNING MICROPLASTIC-FREE ENVIRONMENT was successfully held at Educons University in Novi Sad (Serbia).

Titled “For an environment without microplastics”, the amphitheatre gathered participants and visitors who had the opportunity to hear research results, recommendations for future nature protection policy and plans for further cooperation.

The partners in the GREENLand project are Educons University (Serbia), “Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Center for Polar and Marine Research, Heligoland” (Germany) and “University of Galway” (Ireland).

More than 50 visitors, participants and media representatives attended the conference. Following the lectures and presentations, question-and-answer sessions and an open discussion occurred. A cocktail reception was additionally hosted for the attendees.
