We are pleased to invite you to the Final Conference of the Horizon Europe Twinning Microplastic-free Environment project – GREENLand, coordinated by Educons University. The project was implemented in collaboration with two leading European scientific research organisations specialising in microplastics: Alfred Wegener Institute, Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research (Germany) and University of Galway (Ireland).

This conference culminates our three-year effort focused on enhancing research capacities, fostering international scientific collaboration, and advancing national policies for environmental protection.
For Educons University, this represents a significant step of modernisation and digital transformation of scientific research, alongside the further development of microplastics research – a topic that is becoming one of the key challenges of modern society.
It would be an honour for you to attend this occasion, which symbolises an important turning point in our scientific and institutional development.
The final Microplastic-free Environment Conference will be held on November 25, 2025, 12 p.m. – 2 p.m., in Amphitheatre 3 of the Educons University in Sremska Kamenica. The ceremony will be followed by an opportunity to talk with researchers and project partners. A detailed agenda with a schedule will be published soon – TBA.
