Researchers Prof. Dr. Nataša Stojić and MSc Galina Ćurčić attended the Agrifoodplast 2025 Conference in Brussels, representing the GREENLand project and EDUCONS University.
AGRIFOODPLAST is an International Conference on micro and nano-plastics in the agri-food chain that was held on 8th and 9th April in Brussels, Belgium. This event, focused on the relationship between agriculture and microplastics, brought together leading researchers, policymakers, and agricultural stakeholders to discuss sources of pollution, impacts on soil fertility, and food quality. Key takeaways from the event included new research directions on microplastic sources in agricultural soil, potential regulatory implementations, and the need for solution-oriented research.
Besides engaging in panel discussions and roundtable talks, our researchers actively participated by presenting a poster with preliminary results obtained through the GREENLand project, together with partners from the Alfred-Wegener Institute on Helgoland.
This resulted in an opportunity to network with international experts and establish valuable contacts for future collaborations. Additionally, they had a chance to showcase their work and promote the upcoming MICROM2025 conference, scheduled for November this year.
