The End of the 2nd Year Meeting of the GREENLand project was held from December 9th to 11th, 2024, in Galway, Ireland (University of Galway) in the attendance of 15 representatives from the consortium.
Consortium partners gathered to discuss and prepare further actions for the project’s third year. This meeting was an excellent opportunity to summarise the previous period’s GREENLand accomplishments and collaborative efforts.




The two-day agenda was intense and included overviews of each work package, presentations of the main activities and next steps within each task. The primary focus of the attendees was planning for the upcoming period with discussions.
The partners will strengthen capacities to focus on increasing knowledge, using technologies to prevent, detect, and purify microplastics, and how this project can contribute further to environment safety in knowledge transfer.






In addition to the annual meeting, the visit to the University of Galway was also the purpose of non-research training. Representatives of Educons University Prof. Dr. Andrea Andrejević Panić, Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Simonida Vukadinović, Dr. Igor Vukelic, Dr. Zoran Brljak, all representatives of the Technology Transfer Hub and coordinator of the Project Incubator Hub, Jovana Kisin.
During the visit on December 10, representatives visited the Human Resources Office of the University of Galway, during which a meeting was organized with the Head of Human Resources, Josephine Hynes, where experience and practices in human resource management at the university were shared.






The following day, December 11, in the Research and Innovation Center, representatives of Educons University received training on the topic of technology transfer and institutional research support from team members of the Research Office and Innovation Office. Mr Ian Gallivan, Commercialization Executive and member of the Innovation Office team, hosted this part of the visit.
Entrepreneurship training was held by University of Galway expert Professor John G. Breslin. As part of the Researcher development center, part of the training was held by Dr. Silvia Maretto, Head of International Research Programs, member of the Research Office team, who presented us with the centralized research support of the University of Galway. The Green Field presentation at the University of Galway Technology Transfer was given by Dr Gary Lupton, Head of Strategic Research Award Lifecycle at the College of Medicine, Nursing, & Health Sciences, together with the host Mr Ian Gallivan.
On the same day, representatives of Educons University had another meeting with Prof. Dr. Aaron Golden, Vice-Dean for Research and Innovation at the College of Science and Engineering.
