As part of the promotional activities of the Greenland project at the Faculty of Food Technology, Food Safety and Ecology of the University of Donja Gorica, Prof. Dr. Mira Pucarević and Prof. Dr. Miroslav M. Vrvić held lectures under the title “Microplastics from creation to disappearance”. The lecture highlighted the importance of knowing the life cycle of polymers. Methods of microplastic analysis are presented and the measures that need to be introduced in order to eliminate the further increase in the concentration of microplastics in the environment, as well as the role that microorganisms play in restoring the environment to its previous state, are pointed out.
